Richard, Rachel and family would like to welcome you to Straw Bale Cottage, a unique building in the heart of Suffolk and a great base from which to explore the region and its many attractions or just relax and enjoy a break in the countryside.

Straw Bale Cottage is set within 8 acres of land on a former farm and was built, by us, using straw bales, making it snug in winter and cool in summer. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with its own en-suite and sleeps 4 to 6.

Its features include:

  • Open plan living area with beams and wooden floor
  • Contemporary pellet burning stove – a great focal point for winter days
  • WiFi and 40″ smart TV
  • Private garden and large decking area with barbecue – perfect for relaxing or al fresco dining
  • Farmhouse style kitchen with electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer

The cottage is in the hamlet of Haughley Green, one and-a-half miles from the village of Haughley and its excellent local pub, restaurant and shop. To the west lies the historic town of Bury St Edmunds and to the east the Suffolk Heritage Coast offers a traditional British seaside outing in the towns of Felixstowe, Southwold and Aldeburgh.

We hope you enjoy your stay.

Richard and Rachel
